Mentoring and Counselling

The college has a well-established mentoring system where faculty don the role of facilitators/guides to bring out the best in each student, by tracking their progress throughout their journey at M.O.P. Every student is given a mentoring card. The mentoring card consists of details of student personal information, achievements, performance in academic Examinations etc.

The objectives of the mentoring sessions are:

W

To understand and assess student interest or talent areas (both academic and extra-curricular)

W

To guide them in ways that ensure their talents are showcased and their self-confidence reaches its maximum potential

W

To ensure that students are regular to classes and maintain the code of conduct expected by the institution

W

To discuss and help the students through any challenges on the education and personal front

W

To ensure students use their college life to the fullest by actively participating in events, seminars, cultural competitions and fests organized by MOP and other colleges in the country.

W

To strengthen teacher-student relationship

W

In addition to the above, final year students are provided career path guidance and higher study options that would best fit them in future.

Minutes of the Mentoring sessions are recorded in detail, in the Mentoring Cards to ensure continuity in faculty student engagement and progress tracking.

The parents are called for PTA meetings based on the mentoring reports if situation demands.
