NSS – National Service Scheme (YRC & RRC)

The NSS cell of the college has 3 units with 300 volunteers. It aims to instil the idea of social welfare in students, and provide service to the society without bias. NSS volunteers of the college work to ensure that anyone who is in need gets assistance to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity.

The NSS student volunteers of the college actively take part in community engagement activities and collaborate with NGO’s to deliver service to the needy.

Objectives of the NSS:

To enable students to understand the community in which they work.

To inculcate the spirit of volunteerism in students.

To render to the grievances of the community.

To expose students to the hidden social problems and enable them to address the issues.

Activities:

Special Camps are organised for 10 days in rural villages where volunteers interact with the villagers, understand their social issues and create awareness through workshops and cultural programmes. Apart from these, various initiatives are undertaken throughout the year.
