“I have been teaching Retail Management for the II Year MBA students of M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai for close to a decade now. The MBA program here is a good mix of theory as also practical inputs. Retail being a practical and hands on subject requires such an approach by any institute and this enables the students to be better equipped for jobs. The current batch of MBA students (2016 – 18) has a bright set of young adults. My interactions with those who opted for the Retail Management elective has been very impressive. Apart from being very participative in the class by asking sharp and insightful queries, they gave their absolute best with regard to the various projects. The final project pertained to the preparation of a detailed business plan for a proposed retail business. I was impressed with the manner in which the students applied their minds to the various plans presented. Apart from having several creative ideas, the detailing of the various business aspects was done very well.I am sure that any organisation which selects these students would benefit from having a high potential human resource. My best wishes to the students of this batch.”

Raghavarshini Krishna, Batch – 2002, Entrepreneur, Rose Garden Pay School
It is a universal fact that in the overall ambit of life, a person armed with a good education is bestowed with an advantage in the quest for success. And I am proud to say that I was one among the seeds that was sown and nurtured at the MBA department of M.O.P Vaishnav College for Women. I am currently successful as a budding entrepreneur in the education industry. Its immense pleasure to announce that I have taken up the role of a nurturer now, helping the tiny buds to blossom in my Rose Garden Play School. I have felt honored when I claim that I was a part of M.O.P.family and I thank our institution for it has showered us with extensive facilities and rendering us all needed guidance and support. The comprehensive curriculum of motivating students with group discussions, presentations, projects and innumerable activities have enhanced our skills and has molded us enough to face any tough situation in our career.

Ramya Narayanan – Batch 2010, Cognizant Technology Solutions
Having had 5 years of continuous education at MOP Vaishnav College for Women, it has transformed me from a girl with utter diffidence to an HR professional with confidence. The college has always concentrated on building a complete woman who is competent equally in her personal and professional front. This has been possible only because of MOP’s pragmatism filled curriculum viz., internships, seminars, projects etc. My first three years of graduation instilled confidence in me and two years of post-graduation made me use the confidence to fetch opportunities. Nothing could have been possible had it not been MOP.
Proud to be an MOPian.
Thanks for the opportunity!
Akhila, Batch 2002, World Bank Group
I did my Masters in Finance and Marketing from MOP Vaishnav College for women.
The most life changing event which took place in my life was joining with “The World Bank group”. I always worked on challenging roles starting from IBM->McKinsey & Company->Flextronics->Shell Shared Services->The World Bank Group.
I joined MOP right after my commerce because I always wanted to learn Business Management. I wanted to learn each and every aspect of Business. I also wanted to improve on my presentation and communication skills. Money never motivates me personally. So whatever tasks you perform, Job you do or a business you start, if you put your 100 % in it then rest everything follows.
My experience at MOP Vaishnav College for Women is one that has made me the person I am today. It has made me become, from a simplistic, raw, and inexperienced individual, into one whose bleak talent has been nurtured gradually and endearingly. Each day has been worthy and commendable. The integration of subjects that has been adopted deliberately, to be covered in a span of 2 years, keeping in mind a student’s overall growth, is quite formidable.
How to Apply
Students holding bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline are eligible to apply. Candidates may apply with a valid MAT Score and shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Interview.
