Program Overview

The Undergraduate Program in Sociology established in the year 1996 follows a multidisciplinary approach in its curriculum and it attracts Civil Services aspirants. The program aims to provide an understanding of social institutions and social issues within diverse societies in a global context, and to apply sociological perspectives to these areas. It prepares students for a wide range of careers such as, Social Advocacy, Research, Teaching, NGO Management, Policy-making both in public and private sectors. The program is concerned with social transformation and developing an insight into the major challenges in contemporary society.
